We offer a "Tent Only" camping area in the North Campgrounds a short distance from the shower building. There will be no gas powered generators allowed in this camping area.   The campers will have separate parking away from their campsite and tent.

In case you haven't heard about it, during Country Fest 2007, a wonderful young lady who loved Country Fest, Tara Grant, lost her life to carbon monoxide poisoning while sleeping in a tent. Her family and the festivals want to do everything we can to educate all people camping to make sure an accident like this doesn't happen again.

The initial symptoms of CO poisoning are similar to the flu (but without the fever). They include:

Many people with CO poisoning mistake their symptoms for the flu or are misdiagnosed, which sometimes results in tragic deaths.

If you're a tent camper and you choose not to take advantage of our Tent Only Camping area, please be aware while you are setting up your campsite, and while your neighbors are setting up their campsites, on the location of your tent. In addition to gasoline engines, appliances fueled with natural gas, liquefied petroleum (LP gas), oil, kerosene, coal, or wood may produce CO.

Please do not use any types of hoses, etc... to re-direct exhaust systems from natural gas, liquefied petroleum (LP gas), oil, kerosene, or gasoline fueled cars or generators.

We strongly encourage all guest tenters to utilize our new "Tent Only" camping area.

The Tent Only campsites will be in row TOM, which is located at the far north end of the North Campgrounds.   There will be a designated area to park ALL cars near the tent camping area.   Please just follow the signs to park your car.
